Other Details to Note
I would like to bring to your attention the implementation of a tourist tax, known as the TMT (Taxa Municipal de Turismo) , introduced by the municipality of Machico as of October 2024. This tax applies to all guests aged 13 and above and is calculated per person, per night. The rate is set at €2 per night, with a maximum chargeable period of 7 nights per stay, resulting in a maximum fee of €14 per guest + admin fees.
